Aryna Sabalenka ended the tour with an impressive 23-3 Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association player of the year for a second consecutive season.

The 27-year-old won four titles – the most on tour – including retaining the US Open this past September versus Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth career Grand Slam singles triumph.

A Season of High Performance

Throughout the year, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine championship matches, with losses coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The Belarusian also won the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She remained the entire year as the world number one, concluding 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she became the first athlete to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams did so nearly a decade ago.

Historic Statistics

Sabalenka ended the season with a 63-12 win-loss record, and earned a record £11m in earnings.

She earned almost eighty percent of the votes submitted by international tennis media.

On 28 December, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match with the aim of "elevate women's tennis to a new level".
