A American-Palestinian teenager who spent a nine-month period in imprisonment by Israel without charge has been freed.
Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 when he was arrested this past winter throughout the West Bank territory, while he was vacationing from his Florida home for allegedly throwing stones toward Israeli settlers, which he previously denied.
American diplomatic officials applauded the news of Mohammed's release.
Now sixteen years old, needed medical care upon gaining freedom, family members reported.
They said he is visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions contracted in captivity.
Through an official statement, the youth's uncle expressed the family's "tremendous relief".
The uncle, Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" during the entire detention period.
"Right now, we are focused on ensuring Mohammed receives prompt healthcare necessary for his recovery after experiencing mistreatment by authorities and inhumane conditions over several months."
US officials announced ongoing to provide consular support to the teenager's relatives.
{"American leadership gives utmost importance to ensuring the safety of American nationals"," officials stated.
Twenty-seven US lawmakers had signed a letter to US authorities and the administration, requesting additional efforts for his freedom.
Mohammed's parent, a father-of-four who runs an ice cream business from Florida, had earlier stated Mohammed acknowledged allegations to throwing stones after being assaulted by soldiers.
He had not seen or spoken to Mohammed since February, and only heard regarding the treatment in detention through court documents.
The teenager remained without charge at Ofer detention facility on the West Bank.
Additionally housing grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted of serious terrorism offences and homicide.

Following Mohammed's release, family representatives announced the family would also continue fighting demanding accountability for their family member their cousin Sayfollah.

Mohammed and Sayfollah collaborated at their family's ice cream business based in Florida.
No charges have been filed with Sayfollah's killing.
